Here is the town centre, replete with fountain. The village winds around in a series of circular streets to the middle of the village, with each row of buildings serving as a rampart, protecting the centre of the village. The road to the right leads to the commercial center of the town, a place filled with shops and sidewalk cafes.
As you wind toward the center of the village, the circular streets become primarily residential. The narrow, quiet streets are a study in architecture and landscaping, with a profusion of floral colors and no two sets of doors and windows quite the same. All in all, a postcard setting for the visitor!

Mougins is without doubt one of the most wonderful places to visit on the Côte d'Azur. Only 15 minutes from Cannes, this superb medieval village is set amongst pines, olives and cyprus trees. Surrounded by forests (the Valmasque forest covers 427 hectares) Mougins has kept the quality of its environment intact, and offers visitors, from the height of 260 metres, a panoramic view of the baie de Cannes, the Lerins Islands, Grasse and the Préalpes.

As soon as you arrive in the village, you will be seduced by the charm of the narrow roads, bordered by colourful flowers and superb ancient houses. Picturesque door-ways with each stone carefully restored, beautifully designed window-frames... there's a delightful detail everywhere you look!

From its hilltop position, 260m above sea level, set amongst pine, oak and olive trees, this enchanting medieval village holds a panoramic view of the bay of Cannes, the Lerins Islands, Mandelieu, Grasse and the Pre-Alpes.

Along the age old streets, artists exhibit their works and shops display ceramics and bouquets of dried Provençal flowers and herbs. Francis Picabia, the surrealist avant-garde painter, developed a passion for Mougins and settled here. Sharing his love of the place amongst his artist friends, he attracted some of the greatest cultural figures of our time to this small village.
